(Yarra Pedestrian Bridge, Southgate Avenue, Melbourne) Open Monday to Saturday 11.00am to 1.00am, Sunday 11.00am to 12.00am.
Melbourne locals have a knack for turning unlikely spaces into trendy hangouts, like this bar located on the southern dock of the Yarra Pedestrian Footbridge, right in the middle of the river. This is one of my most popular hangouts on sunny days, a place to grab a beer and admire the boats, trams and skyline of the city. In the warmer months, the bar fills up with office workers, who head out to sea for an after-work drink. Tasty and simple snacks include bagels, zucchini, and corn fritters, as well as mac and chili cheese.
