Mixtape 5

Bulgaria 1, “Gallery” underpass, Sofia) Mixtape 5 is a relatively new club, very spacious (the largest room can hold 800 people), with minimalist interior design and one of the best sound systems in Sofia. The venue is spread over two levels: the first level features the dance floor surrounded by several raised platforms, with the DJ booth in the center, ensuring plenty of space for dancing and moving around. Most events are free or at least very reasonably priced.
Plazza Dance Club

Plazza Dance Club chain boasts excellent dance clubs in Sofia, Varna, Burgas, and Silistra. Plazza Club is located in Studentski Grad and plays mainly folk and disco music, especially pop. There are two dance halls: the larger one plays pop-folk music, live shows, and DJ parties, while the smaller one plays disco music. Thanks to its location ( Studentski Grad is where most universities are located, so it's very popular with university students and young people), its opening hours (open all week from 11:00 AM to 5:00 AM), good music, and excellent drinks, Plazza has become one of the most popular entertainment venues outside of Sofia's city center.
Joy Station

Joy Station is one of the largest recently opened entertainment centers in Sofia. This ultra-modern club is located in the liveliest part of Sofia, Studentski grad , and offers spacious spaces for dancing and partying, incredible sound and lighting systems, a large stage, and the largest bowling alley in Bulgaria. There are billiard tables and a cozy restaurant called MyChoice Grill , which serves delicious food in a pleasant atmosphere. The “winter gardens” allow visitors to relax and enjoy the greenery and open spaces, even if a blizzard is raging outside. The best attraction, however, is the club inside. Some of the biggest names in Bulgarian and international pop and rock have already played here and will be guests in the future. Joy Station is definitely one of the trendiest nightclubs in the capital.
Studio 5 Music Club

Maymunarnika 
(Borisova Gradina, Sofia) Maymunarnika (the Monkeyhouse) is a bit different than other clubs in that it's a popular entertainment venue located in Sofia's largest park, Borisova Garden . Maymunarnika operates only during the summer and attracts young people in their 20s and 30s. The venue is extremely basic and simple, consisting of a huge bar, a stage, and some makeshift seating scattered under the trees. The venue has a long history of parties and concerts, which are still very popular among Sofia's youth. Maymunarnika boasts a busy live music program that caters to different tastes and preferences. This is a great place to drink cheap beer and listen to some Bulgarian bands. It's located in a fairly central area and close to major public transportation hubs, including Orlov Most (Eagle Bridge) and Vasil Levski Stadium , and is open 24/7.
Club Alcohol

Tequila Club 
(Narodno Sabranie 4, Sofia) Tequila is undoubtedly one of the most prestigious clubs in Sofia . Always crowded and well-attended, the club regularly hosts some of the best Bulgarian and international DJs. We recommend booking a table if you really want to enjoy the party: the club usually starts to fill up after midnight, but if you have a reserved table, you can arrive as early as 11:30 pm. Great events and parties take place every night, especially from Wednesday to Saturday.
Swingin' Hall

Retro Club Gramophone

Culture Beat Club

Culture Beat is a café, nightclub, and bar combined, as well as a great place to grab a delicious bite. The club is located in the NDK ( National Culture Palace ), in the heart of Sofia. The largest nightclub in the Balkans, Sin City is well known for its spaciousness and the variety of entertainment it offers. Until a few years ago, Sin City was best known for “chalga,” but today all types of music are played, depending on the night. Sin City has an excellent sound system and lighting, and is conveniently located in an imposing building in the center of Sofia . Yalta Club

Yalta is the oldest nightclub in the city and one of the best in Sofia . Ranked among the 100 best nightclubs in the world by DJ Mag and renovated in 2005, it hosts internationally renowned DJs every weekend. Yalta is a modern and original Bulgarian club and was one of the first nightclubs to open in Bulgaria. Opened in 1959 during the communist era, the club has endured to the present day, becoming the first place in Bulgaria to play electronic music and the first Bulgarian club to feature foreign DJs. Among the famous DJs who have succeeded one another at the console we find names such as Victor Calderon, Rojer Sanchez, Timo Maas, Paul Oakenfold and Hernan Cataneo.
