Restoranas Lokys ![]()
(Stikliu gatve 8, Vilnius) open daily from 12.00 to 24.00
This restaurant offers “traditional Biržai beer”: very good beer, although with a rustic flavour.
Prie Katedros ![]()
(Gedimino pr. 5, Vilnius) is open daily from 11:00 to 24:00.
This restaurant and brewery, with an open-plan layout on two levels, is located not far from the Cathedral. It produces three types of beer: a pale beer, a dark beer, and a honey beer.
Alaus Studija ![]()
(S. Žukausko g. 20, Vilnius) open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.
Alaus Studija is interesting because it's not in the city center and therefore not frequented by regular tourists. The place is located in an old Soviet police building, renovated and adapted to accommodate the bar. The place consists of a huge room where beer flows freely and they serve excellent burgers.
Vilniaus Alus ![]()
(Šv. Pilies 6, Vilnius) open daily from 12:00 to 23:30.
It specializes in serving good beer at reasonable prices. They also organize beer tasting sessions.
Šnekutis ![]()
(Polocko 7a, Šv. Stepono 8, Šv. Mikalojaus 15, Vilnius) open daily from 11:00 to 23:30.
The Šnekutis pub is located in the picturesque Užupis , on Polocko 7a (but there are also two other pubs in the city). The place is decidedly charming and has a rustic feel. The excellent selection of craft beers includes a wide range of farmhouse ales. At Snekutis, you can find beers produced by microbreweries from all over Lithuania. Try getting drunk on the Stačias beer from Panevėžys (12% ABV). A couple of these large beers and you might find yourself rolling down the stairs to the restroom. The bartender is a bizarre-looking man with a theatrical mustache. Snekutis doesn't have table service, so you'll have to order at the bar. Highly recommended and extremely popular, if you're in Vilnius, you absolutely have to stop by for a drink!
Būsi Trečias ![]()
(Totorių 18, Vilnius) is open daily from 11:00 a.m. to midnight, and Fridays and Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.
Perhaps the only true microbrewery in the capital, Busi Trečias is also a good place to eat local dishes. The lower level is a genuine and good bar, while the spacious upper level is reminiscent of a German beer hall, complete with locals singing patriotic songs and falling off the wooden benches. The house beer is good, although it's best to stay away from the flavored versions.
Bambalynė ![]()
(Stiklių 7, Vilnius) open daily from 11:00 to 24:00.
If you like beer, you can't miss this place! Bambalynė is a small, charming, cozy, and quiet brick cellar-style beer hall with excellent service. The wonderful atmosphere of the brick cellar makes it the perfect place for a small group, a quiet chat, solitary reflection, or a read. Here, I offer a wide selection of excellent beers (almost 100 different types) from nearby microbreweries—including some unpasteurized and unfiltered beers (unfortunately hard to find in other countries). This is where you'll find farmhouse ales. The venue is a bit more upscale than its counterparts, and the bar is popular among beer drinkers in the capital. There's also an on-site shop and a beer tasting room for true enthusiasts.
Remember: a sincere smile always opens the hearts of the waitresses here, who are often annoyed by too many drunk and unmannered idiots.
Alaus Namai (Beer House) ![]()
(A. Goštauto 8, Vilnius) is open 11:00 a.m. to midnight, and Fridays and Saturdays 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.
Wooden planks on barrels serve as benches, a menu of Lithuanian specialties, affordable beers, and live rock music. Dishes include beer soup and pea and pig's ear soup.
Recommended for beer and rock music lovers. There's a wide selection of good, inexpensive beers.
Alynas ![]()
(Jogailos 6, Vilnius) is open 11:00 a.m. to midnight, and 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
This establishment serves a wide variety of beers. It is a chain of pubs serving traditional Lithuanian beer. Other pubs in the same chain are located in Klaipeda, Palanga, and Kaunas.
