This was confirmed directly by the president of Starbucks , Howard Schultz, who held a press conference in Milan during which he declared that the first Starbucks in Italy will open in Milan in 2017 , and subsequently in other Italian cities.

The idea of ​​Starbucks originated in Milan in 1983 when Howard Schultz , walking through the streets of the centre, was impressed by the importance of the coffee ritual in Italy: this was how he had the idea of ​​opening his own chain of bars. From this idea was born the success of Starbucks , which now has hundreds of stores open almost all over the world, from the United States to Europe, from Africa to Australia, which have become a regular stop not only for the locals, but also for the many tourists looking for a place to rest and warm up after a day spent visiting the city.

Schultz stressed that Starbucks will arrive in the homeland of coffee with humility and respect, offering Italian food and a coffee blend created specifically for the Italian taste.
