The island of Formentera is famous for its wonderful beaches with crystal clear waters: blue sea, breathtaking views and a relaxing atmosphere. But the small Balearic island also surprises with its nightlife. Although the nightlife is not at the levels of the transgressive Ibiza , Formentera also offers some bars and nightclubs where you can dance and stay up late .
Famous in the 70s for its hippy and wild atmospheres, today the nightlife of Formentera has acquired a chic, refined and elegant look, and its clubs are frequented by celebrities and footballers.
The evening of Formentera necessarily begins with a good aperitif at sunset , a real ritual that takes place at the various ciringuitos scattered on the various beaches of the island. Sipping a good cocktail and admiring the sunset by the sea to the sound of excellent music is truly an experience not to be missed!
The heart of Formentera's nightlife is concentrated in the town of Es Pujols , where most of the nightclubs are located. The few streets in the center of this small town are dotted with restaurants, piadinerie, hotels, shops and, above all, some of the best bars and nightclubs on the island, where the party continues until morning. The beaches around Es Pujols (including Platja de Llevant , Platja de Sa Roqueta , Platja Ses Canyes and Es Pujols beach) are among the most beautiful in Formentera.
Inside the island we find Sant Ferran , a traditional village where you can still breathe the bohemian atmosphere of the 60s and where you can still find some of the historical places of Formentera, such as the Fonda Pepe . In the village of Sant Francesc, however, there is a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere, with live jazz music outdoors every Saturday night.
The beach of Es Cavall is, on the other hand, a refined and elegant area that hosts the most exclusive beach clubs of Formentera, in front of which huge yachts always dock.
Live music fans cannot miss the Formentera Jazz Festival and the “Festival de guitarras” which takes place during the month of September.

Located in the center of Es Pujols, the Pineta Club is the twin of the historic nightclub of the same name in Milano Marittima, and is one of the most popular clubs in Formentera. Like its high ego of the Romagna Riviera, this nightclub stands out for its elegance, taste for details and high-level music: a very intimate, elegant and fashionable place, with a captivating style and divided into three spaces: the main room, the terrace and the relaxation area.
The club's intense nights include themed evenings (such as “pirates” and “flower power” ), world-famous console guest DJs (such as Bob Sinclair and others), celebrities and footballers, as well as quality cocktails. The nightclub is frequented by a rather varied clientele which includes both residents and tourists, mostly Italians. The atmosphere is young and the prices of the drinks are good, considering the average of the island. Definitely a reference point for the nightlife of Formentera .
Club Tipic

Located in Es Pujols, Tipic is Formentera's historic nightclub , open since the 1970s and a reference point for the island's nightlife (the club also hosted Pink Floyd back in 1971). In recent years the club has become famous for hosting Cocoon and for hosting DJs of the caliber of Sven Vath, Fritz Kalkbrenner, Luca Agnelli, Chris Liebing and many others. Not to be missed.
Rigatoni Formentera

Rigatoni is a mix between a nightclub and a restaurant, a great place to have fun dancing and singing to the rhythm of Italian songs. Located on one of the most beautiful beaches of Formentera and with a beautiful location, the place is frequented mainly by VIPs and famous people.
Pachanka Music Club
(Carrer de Roca Plana, 49, Es Pujols, Formentera) Open every day from 23.00 to 6.00.
Located in the pedestrian area of Es Pujols, Pachanka is one of the most popular clubs in Formentera : both bar and disco, the place begins to fill up at three in the morning and closes late in the morning. Great for both fun and low prices.

A good place to spend a pleasant evening with great music and good drinks.
Gecko Beach Club

Beach Club 10.7

Owned by Patrizia Pepe, this beach club is located in Platja Migjorn. The name derives from the fact that it is located at km 10.7 of the road towards La Mola, near the town of Es Calò. The dress code is very informal in fact most of the customers are in shorts and flip flops waiting to see the sunset and take their last swim before dinner. From the large terrace you can enjoy a breathtaking view of one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. Recommended the tuna tartare and tempura.
Beso Beach
(Parque Natural de Ses Salines, Playa de Cavall d´en Borràs, Formentera) Located between the beaches of Ses Illetas, Beso is one of the best beach clubs in Formentera , very popular for its dancing aperitif at sunset, always full of people.

Fonda Pepe
(Calle Mayor, Sant Ferran, Formentera) The Fonda Pepe is one of the historic places of Formentera, once a meeting place for many hippies in the 1960s, when the island was still a paradise unknown to mass tourism. It was practically the center of the social life of Formentera. Although today the place has lost the importance it once had, it still retains the nostalgic look and feel that is reflected in the countless photos hanging on the walls, dating back to the 1960s. The Fonda Pepe is still very popular in the summer months, when its narrow terrace is filled with tourists, especially Germans.
Blue Bar

Open since 1996 and located in Es Pujols, the Bananas is a famous cocktail bar and a real landmark and meeting point for all tourists who want to enjoy the entertainment and nightlife in Formentera . Often on the terrace it is easy to meet some VIPs on vacation or guests of the club. Piratabus
(Playa Mitgjorn, Formentera) The Piratabus of Playa Mitgjorn is a real institution on the island. It was born in the 1970s, when the owner decided to buy a disused bus and turn it into his bar. In the 1980s the bus was replaced with a wooden kiosk. The Piratabus is located in an area above the Es Arenals beach, at km 11 and stands out from the other bars for its magical and wild atmosphere. Ideal for those looking for a small lively environment where you can enjoy excellent mojitos and nachos, rock music from the 70s, until sunset. The kiosk is stormed every evening for an aperitif, now in which long queues are always formed to try their famous mojito. Considered by many to be the best ciringuito in Formentera .
Flipper & Chiller
(Playa Els Arenals, Carretera Migjorn, km. 11, El Pilar, Formentera) The Flipper & Chiller is a chiringuito located right in front of the Gecko. Distinguished by the scent of wild rosemary that grows on the shoreline, the bar has comfortable loungers and sweeping open sea views, and has a rooftop terrace which is the perfect place to watch the sunset while sipping a good caipirinha.
Acapulco Formentera
