Nightlife Gdansk is synonymous with clubs with live music, concerts and outdoor shows, but also beer houses, cafes and wine bars. Stunning. The Bunkier Klubogaleria is located on Olejarna Street, in a six-storey, concrete-reinforced cubic building built as an air-raid shelter, bunker and anti-aircraft battery by the Germans during World War II. This is the only building in the area to have survived the war: for many years it stood empty, save for use as a climbing wall, until someone with a magnificent imagination and access to a colossal amount of money decided to turn it into a club. The results are breathtaking. Walk through the door and you will be greeted by the original corridors, lined with 1.2m thick walls that lead into a maze of bars, dancefloors, a lounge area and some of the most fantastic toilets we have ever seen. Each level is different and very unique: there is also cage seating with military bunks and an electric chair on level 3. The bars have surprisingly low prices, and the music on offer is of a mixed genre. The Bunkier club is so big that even though it is crowded with hundreds of people, it seems almost empty - well worth a visit!
