Gdansk is an excellent place to go out, drink or dance. There are countless pubs and bars , many of which are located in cozy basements of historic buildings. Stunning. The Bunkier Klubogaleria is located on Olejarna Street, in a six-storey, concrete-reinforced cubic building built as an air-raid shelter, bunker and anti-aircraft battery by the Germans during World War II. This is the only building in the area to have survived the war: for many years it stood empty, save for use as a climbing wall, until someone with a magnificent imagination and access to a colossal amount of money decided to turn it into a club. The results are breathtaking. Walk through the door and you will be greeted by the original corridors, lined with 1.2m thick walls that lead into a maze of bars, dancefloors, a lounge area and some of the most fantastic toilets we have ever seen. Each level is different and very unique: there is also cage seating with military bunks and an electric chair on level 3.
