The local custom is to start the evening with a tapas dinner . There are many bars in Granada that offer free tapas when you order a drink. One of the best areas to try good tapas is Plaza Nueva , near the cathedral, a lively and popular square located in the heart of the city.

Later, the party continues in the disco bars in the center or in the big discos and afterhours around Granada, ending around 8 in the morning on weekends.

One of the most modern areas of the city and the center of the student nightlife of Granada . Calle Pedro Antonio is a street lined with bars and nightclubs frequented mainly by students due to the very cheap prices of the drinks. If you're on a tight budget, you can drink and party here for half as much as in the more touristic areas of Granada. The atmosphere is very informal and there is a wide range of bars, discos and night clubs of all kinds, always very crowded.

Also, near this area you can find the “Botellodromo” , an area where students gather to drink before going to dance. Here you can bring your own bottles and drink without spending too much money. However, be careful because if you leave your alcohol bottles or glasses on the floor, the police could give you a fine.

Albaicin
Granada's oldest, largest and most iconic neighborhood rises high above the rest of the city to face the grand palace of the Alhambra. During the day, the narrow alleys bustle with tourists, while at night the area is quite quiet and offers a good offer of tapas bars that are very popular with the locals.
