Located in the Aegean Sea, Santorini is the largest of the Cyclades Islands and is characterized by its horseshoe shape, which represents what remains of the crater of an ancient volcano that collapsed following a powerful eruption. Its particular volcanic origin gives Santorini a suggestive landscape, characterized by high cliffs and black volcanic sand beaches. The panoramas of Santorini are so beautiful that they are the most photographed in all of Greece. During the day you can relax on the wonderful beaches of Santorini, including the black beach of Kamari or that of Monolithos, or even sunbathe on the red sand beach of Red Beach and, why not, make interesting encounters.
At nightfall, however, the island changes its face and Santorini turns into the realm of entertainment with a sparkling and young nightlife . The offer for entertainment in Santorini is very varied and spread over the whole island. The party already begins in the afternoon in the various beach clubs located along the beaches of Perivolos , with numerous events and lots of music, to continue in the evening in the discos scattered throughout the various places on the island.
The main point of reference of the nightlife of Santorini is the town of Fira (or also "Thira" ) where there are the main discos and a multitude of cafes, restaurants, bars and night clubs scattered among the narrow streets of the city. The square of Fira is the main meeting point where all the people meet before heading to have an aperitif at sunset and then go dancing.
The various bars play every genre of music and feature different styles. Some venues are favorites of locals and others are filled with tourists from all over the world. All boast wonderful cocktails and drinks, famous Greek and international artists and loud music of any kind. They are located close to each other so you can visit more than one at a time to get an idea of the nightlife of Santorini . Besides these, there are places with traditional Greek or modern music, some of them with live orchestra, which liven up the atmosphere with lots of dancing.
On the east side of the island, the resorts of Kamari and Perissa are lined with countless beach bars , all busy and trendy, with parties and loud music for dancing on the beach. This beach nightlife has only recently developed in Santorini and has been able to perfectly combine natural beauty with nightlife.
But the favorite beach for fun is Perivolos, where there are many beach bars with music and parties from sunset until late at night . Most of the young people come here in the afternoon to swim in the sea and stay until the evening in one of the many disco bars in the area that party until the morning.
Located on the north side of Santorini, Oia is definitely the most charming area of the island . This location is especially appreciated for its fantastic sunset with panoramic view of the caldera . An unmissable event so much so that, every evening around 19.00, a large crowd gathers on the various terraces of Oia to admire the sunset.
The nightlife is definitely more relaxed and romantic than in Fira. Oia is favored for its multitude of sundowner spots , almost all with stunning views. The typical aperitif is represented by a glass of white wine from Santorini: Assirtiko is a native vine of this island and the various producers, such as Boutari , Argyros, Santo Wines , give the possibility to visit the cellars and taste their wines (there is also a wine museum ).
From the center of Oia it is possible to walk to the charming bay of Ammoudi where delicious restaurants by the sea offer dishes based on freshly caught fish, obviously accompanied by excellent local wine and ouzo.
If at the end of a long night of revelry you still don't want to go to sleep, you can head to the Monastery of Pyrgos , which offers a panoramic view of the whole of Santorini from above: a real spectacle at dawn.

Located in Fira right on the edge of the Caldera, the Koo Club is the most famous nightclub in Santorini . Enigma Club

Open since 1979, the Enigma is another mainstay of Santorini nightlife and has been one of the busiest locations on the island for thirty years. On the small outdoor balcony the atmosphere is more relaxing and you can sit and enjoy mouthwatering cocktails.
